I'm excited to share that The Writer's Cafe Magazine has decided to publish my short story "Emma See's Red" in their December Fairytale issue (18). My story, a take on what was happening at home while Dorothy was in Oz, won a 1st place position in the NYCM Flash Fiction Contest.
The Writer's Cafe was established in 2012 as a place where writers could meet other writers, without the distraction of home. The Writer's Cafe Magazine was launched in October 2017.
I'm excited to announce the release of a new poetry chapbook - Cracks in the Sidewalk. Both the paperback and the Ebook should be live on Amazon for purchase on January 30th, 2020. (and the BOOKS tab will be updated with links).
The association between bipolar disorder and creativity, especially poetry, first appeared in literature in the 1970’s, however, the idea of a link between “madness” and “genius” is much older, dating back at least to the time of Aristotle. This chapbook contains poems from a sometimes “mad” and sometimes “genius” mind hoping to inspire others to look for the peculiar beauty found growing out of the Cracks in the Sidewalk.
There are perhaps no days of our childhood we lived so fully as those we spent with a favorite book. - Marcel Proust
